            • Recession is hard Deer Season becomes RassquiTureerHogat Season (Raccoon, Squirrel, Turkey, Deer, Ground hog and neighbor’s hog/pig and Rat Season) which goes from a few weeks to a whole year.
            • Recession is hard when blockbuster movie night means watching the neighbors fist fight.
            • Recession is hard when we plant our last potato in the unwashed laundry hoping it would germinate.
            • Recession is hard when we recreate Grandma’s famous dessert with a mix of Ketchup and Mustard, calling it “Kustard”, feeding it to the kids every night.
            • Recession is hard when we both decided not to shave our beards.
            • Recession is hard when our last drop of lotion is extended by lard.
            • Recession is hard when our magazine pile serves as the permanent standby of unaffordable toilet paper.
            • Recession is hard when in order to conserve water, we dig a hole next to the commode in the bathroom.
            • Recession is hard when everyone else including the dog is using the one and only toothbrush.
            • Recession is hard when we are washing the dishes with our only toothbrush.
            • Recession is hard when showers are optional.

    Hi Haze,

    With a positive attitude towards the future, we know that this recession is just another economic cycle that would come back up soon. Totoo nga sa atin it’s like its always in recession. Pero iba ang Pinoy, laging may positive outlook sa buhay dahil sanay na sa hirap kaya kahit anong dumating, buhay at masaya pa rin. Tuloy pa rin ang mga Piyesta, diba?
